I'm a gypsy. Are you coming with me?

(I might steal your clothes and wear them if they fit me.)

Writer's Block: Study break
What are you studying or did you study in school? Is it related to what you want to do for your career?

I majored in nursing.

I'm a nurse.

......Totally unrelated.

Writer's Block: Cinco de Mayo
Do you consider yourself patriotic? If so, how do you express it?

Oh look, Livejournal ONCE AGAIN insinuating that today is Mexico's Independence Day. You realize Mexico doesn't give a shit about this holiday, right? Patriotism has nothing to do with it. EDUCATE YOURSELVES, FOOLS!

Writer's Block: BFFs
If you had to pick a character from your favorite TV show back in middle school to be your best friend today, who would you choose, and why? Have you outgrown some of the characters you loved when you were an early adolescent?

Judy Funny from Doug.

Writer's Block: Cinqo de Mayo
Do you celebrate your country's independence? If so, how?

It's the celebration of a victory of a battle against France, which Mexico was not expected to win.
And it's a way more bigger deal in America than Mexico.
And it's spelled with a "C", not a "Q".
And this isn't even a user-submitted question. Way to suck, LJ. You made it onto sf_drama.

Writer's Block: Killer tomatoes
What's your favorite cult film of all time, and why? What are the essential ingredients for a cult classic?

Wet Hot American Summer

Ridiculousness + C-list celebrities (or currently popular actors before their "big break") + and amazingly quotable lines that only a handful of people get = cult classic

Writer's Block: Help Haiti
Are you planning to support relief efforts in Haiti? For those of us who aren't in the medical field and who don't have a lot of money, what are some creative ways to get involved and make a real difference?

Nice try, bloggers. You don't need a lot of money to spare. If you are sitting on your personal computer, surfing LJ, you have an extra $5 or $10. 54% of Haitians, prior to this earthquake, lived on less than one dollar a day. (cite) Meditate on that shit for a minute. Take that $10 you were going to use to eat out for lunch, or whatever you were planning on spending it on, and not think about yourself for once. Haiti needs either people down there triaging, feeding, searching, sheltering, or your money. Not some "creative" dumbass, "I support Haiti" blog banner to raise "awareness" (because I think we're all quite aware) or whatever the fuck you had in mind. Sit down, pull out your debit card, and donate. American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity  and the UN World Food Programme are some good organizations. In fact, here's a real easy one. I'm sure you have your phone in front of you anyway, so try texting "HAITI" to 90999. Donates $10 to American Red Cross' relief efforts. Just adds $10 to your cell phone bill. Yes, you can handle it. And that's how you're going to make a difference.

Though this answer is pretty sweet. And by "sweet" I mean absolutely ignorant and despicable.

Writer's Block: Book review
What (if any) books would you ban from a high school library? Are there certain subjects that you feel are inappropriate for teenagers regardless of literary merit?

Books should never be banned. Never. If you don't like your kid reading it, fine, your prerogative, but don't ruin it for the rest of us. Also, if your kid is making homemade bombs because they read The Anarchist Cookbook or they're starting a second Holocaust because they read Mein Kampf, trust me....you got bigger problems there than the book.

Writer's Block: Regime Change
Today marks the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States. Obama's campaign was built around a message of change. What changes would you most like to see in the next 4 years?
obama gonna change the fuck out of shit like he gonna make drug companies pay you to take medicine or get everyone laid shit yeah

(...for reference

I bring you lulz (cross posted)
I figured my friends that live in the computer would enjoy this:

(no subject)

If this is the only entry you see, you are not on my friendslist.
If you would like to be, leave a comment.

This means you:

+ must know me from somewhere
+ if from a community, must give a reason for wanting to add me. Not just "I know you from ____". Those people usually don't end up staying on my list for long.
+ should comment on my entries. And I'll try to reciprocate.
+ need to be okay with me putting my life out on the internet. Because that's what my journal is like.

If you still want to be added, go ahead with the comment.
